James Patrick "Jim" Effer

JAMES PATRICK 'JIM' EFFER (Special Education Resource Teacher at Beaverton Public School) Suddenly, on Saturday, March 20, 2010 in Ajax with his family at his side at age 48. Jim Effer of Port Perry, dearly loved husband of Suzanne Roy. Loved father of Charlotte and Samuel. Loving son of Paulina and the late James Effer. Dear brother of Steve Effer and Peter Effer and his wife Dawn. Loved son-in-law of Pierre-George and Pauline Roy and brother-in-law of Andre Roy and Mary-Helene Roy. Jim will be sadly missed by his nieces Sarah and Noemie and nephews Alexander and Daniel and his many students and friends.

Since 1981 Jim has been photographing landscapes and floral subjects. In 1988 a family friend asked Jim to shoot her wedding; Jim jumped at the chance and brought his "story-telling" style to this new photographic experience; Jim has been photographing weddings ever since. Always looking for that shot with the "WOW" factor attached, his photographs take the viewer on a journey and allow for that special memory to stand as a long-lasting one. A man of many creative talents and experiences, he is always happy to share a story or two when sitting with clients. Clients quickly enjoy the "Effervescence" of Jim Effer’s manner as a bond is forged,  facilitated by his personal and professional style. Jim continues to diversify his portfolio with a venture into concert photography and digital manipulation of the results; so enjoy!
